Jayah Memorial Cup Meet, the Stubbs Shield Championship Meet, and the Invitation Meet in Kandy, demonstrating dominance across major competitions. In 1978, he achieved further success by reclaiming the Stubbs Shield Championship and winning the Junior Championship (Light Heavyweight), while also finishing as Runner-up at the Francis Jayawardena Meet (YMCA).
