Marshad Barry
Marshad Barry is a seasoned professional with a strong background in business administration, journalism, and community leadership. He holds an MBA from the University of the West of England (UK), a Diploma in Journalism from the University of Colombo, and a Diploma in Professional Diplomacy and World Affairs from the Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute, Sri Lanka. He brings a balanced blend of strategic insight and communication expertise to his professional engagements.
He currently serves as President of the Sri Lanka–Malaysia Business Council, Treasurer of the Sri Lanka–Indonesia Business Council, and Director of International Affairs at CEO Global Magazine. He has previously served as an Assistant Governor of Rotary District 3220 (Sri Lanka & Maldives) and presently holds directorships at the Centre for Islamic Studies and Amal International School. With over 20 years of experience in the banking and finance sector, Marshad has held several leadership roles, including Deputy Head of Orphan Care at Amana Bank PLC, reflecting his strong commitment to social responsibility and community development. He also represented Arethusa College in boxing under the guidance of the late Donald Munasingha and later boxed for Thurstan College.
